Recently, a Tanzanian agricultural cooperative signed a purchase agreement with our factory for a fertilizer granulation production line. This equipment will be used in local small-scale fertilizer processing plants to convert raw materials such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, as well as agricultural waste, into granular fertilizers. This will inject new vitality into East African agricultural development and represents another achievement in China’s fertilizer equipment expansion into the African market.
As an agricultural country primarily cultivating crops such as corn and rice, Tanzania has a high demand for fertilizers. However, local fertilizers are mostly imported and in powdered form, resulting in significant losses during transportation and application. To address this issue, this production line utilizes a disc granulation process, capable of producing fertilizer granules with a diameter of 2-5mm, a granule strength of 7-9N, and a formation rate exceeding 95%. This reduces transportation losses from the traditional 15% to less than 3%, significantly improving fertilizer utilization.
Taking into account the characteristics of Tanzanian raw materials and production conditions, the production line has undergone several optimizations. A simple screening device has been added to the raw material pre-processing stage to remove impurities that may be present in local raw materials. A diesel-electric dual-drive system adapts to unstable power supply conditions in some areas and ensures uninterrupted production. The production line can produce 1.5 tons of granular fertilizer per hour, meeting the fertilizer needs of local small and medium-sized farms. It is simple to operate and can be put into operation after a short training period.
During their inspection, a customer representative praised the production line highly: “We previously relied on imported fertilizer, which was costly and often out of stock. With this production line, we can produce our own granular fertilizer, which not only reduces costs by 40%, but also allows us to adjust the formula to suit different crops. It’s incredibly practical.” It is estimated that the production line has an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons, covering 2,000 hectares of surrounding farmland and is expected to increase crop yields by 15%-20%.
From initial communication to ongoing service, we provide comprehensive support. To facilitate local operation, a bilingual operating manual in Swahili and English is provided. We will also collaborate with local Tanzanian companies to establish after-sales service points to provide rapid repair services. Engineers will also be dispatched on-site for installation, commissioning, and technical training to ensure the smooth commissioning of the production line.
This collaboration not only represents the export of equipment but also supports the development of Tanzanian agriculture. We will continue to provide customized equipment solutions tailored to the agricultural needs of diverse regions across Africa, contributing to the sustainable development of African agriculture.
