South Africa Disc Granulation Project

Release time:August 15, 2025

In the global agricultural boom, efficient fertilizer production is crucial. Our company recently successfully completed a significant disc granulation project in South Africa, fully demonstrating the superior quality and strength of Chinese fertilizer equipment.

The South African client, blessed with abundant agricultural resources, was plagued by challenges such as low fertilizer production efficiency and inconsistent pellet quality. After an in-depth investigation, our team developed a customized disc granulation solution. The disc granulator used in this project boasts unique design advantages. Its tilt angle can be precisely adjusted between 45° and 55°, while its rotation speed remains stable at 15-30 rpm. This perfect combination allows the fertilizer raw materials to fully utilize friction and centrifugal force within the discs, efficiently forming smooth, uniform pellets.

New changes in fertilizer production – Indonesian disc production line

In actual production, the client’s primary raw materials include livestock and poultry manure and agricultural waste, which are common in the region. Our equipment demonstrates exceptional adaptability to these organic materials, which contain 40% to 60% moisture. By cleverly spraying a small amount of water and a specially formulated binder, the pellets are rapidly formed, achieving a granulation rate exceeding 90%. Furthermore, the particle size can be flexibly adjusted within a range of 2-8mm to meet customer needs, effectively meeting the fertilization requirements of different crops.

The entire disc granulation production line also incorporates a comprehensive supporting process. From the raw material pretreatment stage, where a twin-shaft paddle mixer ensures uniform mixing of the raw materials, to the drying and cooling stage, where an advanced belt dryer precisely reduces the moisture content of the wet pellets to 10%-15%, to the screening and grading process to remove substandard products, each step is seamlessly coordinated to ensure the high-quality output of the final fertilizer product.

Since the project went into operation, it has achieved significant results. The customer’s fertilizer production efficiency has been significantly improved, with production capacity increasing by nearly 50%. Furthermore, the stable pellet quality has made the produced fertilizer highly sought after in the market, generating substantial economic benefits for the customer. More importantly, by effectively utilizing local agricultural waste, it has achieved resource recycling and promoted the green and sustainable development of local agriculture in South Africa. This successful case is not only a powerful testimony to our company’s technological strength, but also a vivid practice of Chinese fertilizer equipment going global and contributing to the development of global agriculture.
